It signals some sort of misfire or knock condition. Take the care immediately to AutoZone or some other parts store to get the code read. Just because the lights not on anymore doesn't mean that the code is gone from the computer.

WebMar 12, 2024 · If you get a check engine light for a lot of different reasons, many other lights will come on. It's a mistake in their system which they have decided to not fix. (better to get the customers to the dealship) Clearing the engine code will clear the lights. They will come back so I'd plan to fix whatever caused the check engine light to come on.
