Its actually too easy at times, but it'll allow you to play with role play and builds without punishing you too much, and it wknt be the end of the world if you don't know a quest outcome or some such. There is some legendary item (usually helmet) that have special effect like immunity to blind and silenced. So the character can use the sword without being blind itself.
