WebMar 16, 2024 · The slide stop, #27, has absolutely nothing to do with accuracy. As mentioned earlier, you can shoot the gun with out that part. By looking at the wear pattern on the slide lock, you can tell if it is locking evenly across the surface where the barrel locks on it. All of my guns have an even pattern.
